Your "Total Reading Power" is the combination of your distance correction and the additional magnification power.
Your prescription may look something like this:
OD + 0.50 = (The distance correction that you need for your Right Eye)
OS +0.50 = (The distance correction that you need for your Left Eye)
ADD +2.00 = (The additional magnification that you need for Reading)
Using the sample prescription above, you would order a +2.50 for your Multi-Views.
Your presctiption may look something like this:
OD - 0.75 = (The distance correction that you need for your Right Eye)
OS - 0.75 = (The distance correction that you need for your Left Eye)
ADD + 2.50 = (The additional magnification that you need for Reading)
Using the sample prescription above, you would order a + 1.75 for your Multi-Views.
Your prescription may look something like this:
OD Plano = (You do not need distance correction for your Right Eye)
OS Plano = (You do not need distance correction for your Left Eye)
ADD +1.50 = (The additional magnification that you need for Reading)
Using the sample prescription above, you would order a +1.50 for your Multi-Views.
I you wear contact lenses for your distance correction - use the "ADD" power to order
your Multi-Views.
If you have been told by your Eye Doctor, that you have an Astigmatism - You may still be a candidate for Multi-View Glasses.
